Hotelier’s Review

What we particularly love about the hotel is its quaint, rustic, very traditional cosy highland inn-style character, warmth and friendly convivial atmosphere – an atmosphere which will strike you as soon as you enter. Being one of the very few hostelries in the region offering a choice of real ales gives us a great selling point. The Scottishness of the hotel is very important to us and so we serve ‘very good food’, Scottish traditional style in the main with a few twists, letting the local flavours shine through – and the Scottish flavours certainly shine through in our superb selection of Scottish malts. We love good wine with good food so expect and enjoy a great wine list. We have lovely alfresco patios and beer gardens for to soak up the fine weather when we get it!

We think we have lovely friendly staff who really care – come and judge for yourselves. Here you are not a stranger – simply a friend we have never met.

Our hotel is ideal for the outdoor activity and adventure enthusiast (with the very best of Highland Perthshire’s activity centres all within a 10 mile radius), for families, for those with well behaved dogs, for couples looking for that true Highland escape, and for those touring this sensational and beautiful area, whether individuals, couples and small groups. Overseas bike clubs and groups seem to particularly like us. And we love meeting all our overseas guests, and ensuring they feel most welcome in Scotland.

We deliver value at prices you’ll love. We are not stuffy, pretentious, nor do we strive to reach the dizzy heights of the boutique or luxury hotel. We are what we are, what you see on the label here you’ll certainly get in the tin. We are open all day, every day, 365 days a year. So great highland hospitality is always available here.
